About ONCJC

ONCJC is a non-profit organization formed in 1997 to promote, preserve and enjoy the dance styles made popular during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Among these are East & West Coast Swing, Jitterbug, Beach Bop, St. Louis Imperial Swing, Carolina Shag and other variations of the times.

ONCJC is proud to be a member of the American Bop Association. The ABA is a national non-profit organization that is in alignment with our Club philosophies. Club members regularly attend wonderful ABA events near and far and have found many friends during these past 15 years. Check out the More Info page in the above menu, the current newsletter and ABA website for event information.

Our very own ONCJC Charter Members Kap and Lou (photo to right) were inducted into the ABA Hall of Fame during the St. Louis ABA Convention held in September 2011.

Dance lesson with Tim Brown

We have a GREAT time dancing, socializing and making new friends! We would love to have you join us in the joy of dance. Nowhere will you find a better collection of pleasant, giving and friendly people. As members you will have many opportunities to learn, practice and improve your skills, while, at the same time, have fun doing it. As a club, we connect with members and our community through charitable contributions, benefits and events where we donate our time, talents and resources.

If you love to dance or want to learn the late 50's and early 60's styles, known as partner dancing, you are in the right place. We teach East Coast, West Coast, Cha-cha, Carolina Shag, line dances and more. We do not promote or allow free style dance in this club and you must be 21 to attend.

Guest instructor Tim Brown

Don't know the steps? No problem! Beginner dance lessons are available to kick-start you on your way to regularly scheduled more advanced lessons. Our goal is that your first visit won't be your last! You will begin to look forward to Wednesday nights, not only for the nice break it will give to your week and wonderful dancing, but also for the lasting friendships you will achieve.

If you still have questions or would just like to connect with someone, please send us an e-mail info@oncjc.org, we will get back with you soon.
